  news("21/03/2010", 'A good weekend for Southsea - the MN4+ (Ben Horsman, Simon Scannell, Neil Purvis, Ben Gray) won their event at Shoreham\'s Head of the Adur as did Jeff Watling who won the river scull\'s event.  Matt Browne showed his form again at Christchurch\'s Head of the Stour, winning novice sculls but also posting the fastest sculling time of the day ahead of the seniors! Jon and Sam also won the MS2- event.  A great start to the head season for all!')

Jon &amp; Sam came 2nd in MS2-, Mick Gisborne 3rd in the MS1- and the WN4+ coming 4th out of eight in their first head race togeher. The MN4+ put on a good performance and are looking to improve on that tomorrow at Shoreham - well done to all!')
