Tough "Coastal" conditions at Southsea lead to cancelled regatta

With only half the heats, and very few finals raced, many clubs left Southsea disappointed on Saturday 15th July. Conditions looked as rough as they were going to get mid-afternoon when the race officials made the decision to postpone, and then cancel the regatta. Racing was difficult however with coastal rowing such things happen and thankfully there were no injuries or incidents in the difficult water.

Many thanks to all volunteers, officials and rowers for their efforts and patience throughout the day!
