Swanage Regatta


The Swanage Regatta takes place on Saturday 17th June 2017, commencing at approximately 11:00am depending on entries received in the following events:


  • Men’s senior four
  • Men’s junior-senior four
  • Men’s junior four
  • Men’s novice four
  • Men’s senior pair
  • Men’s junior pair
  • Men’s senior sculls
  • Men’s junior sculls
  • Men’s novice sculls
  • Ladies’ senior four
  • Ladies’ junior four
  • Ladies’ novice four
  • Ladies’ senior pair
  • Ladies’ junior pair
  • Ladies’ senior sculls
  • Ladies’ junior sculls
  • Ladies’ novice sculls
  • Masters (Veteran) A Four (over 40/can be mixed)
  • Ladies’ Masters (Veteran) A Four (over 40)


  • Masters (Veteran) B Fours (over 50/can be mixed)
  • Mixed Coxes Four — two male of different status/two female of different status


  • J16 Coxed Squad (Half Course — start at buoy turn)
  • J16 Mixed Coxed Four (Half Course — start at buoy turn)


J16 mixed coxed four: all crew members (except the cox) must be H&DARA Novice status. In the Coxed Quad, all scullers must be Novice Scullers. Depending on entries received, we may offer separate Boys & Girls J16 Coxed Fours/Coxed Quad events and the J16 races may be combined.

For any quad racing clubs should be aware of re-rigging issues. J16 events are likely to be held before any other Fours events to accommodate this — and the shortened course.


Events may be logically combined if entries are low: for example: Masters A (40) and Masters B (50) coxed fours, Ladies’ Senior and Junior Pairs, Ladies’ Senior, and Junior and/or Novice Sculls. J16 Boys & Girls Coxed Four/Coxed Quad.


Entries fees are £5 per seat (including the SCC levy) and cheques should be made payable to: Hants and Dorset ARA.
