Meet the Team
With a variety of different levels and experience, we are forever united as one. This is our club, our one and only club. Explore the club from the top down.
Best of Both Worlds
Because weβre situated in Portsmouth, we belong to both the Hants and Dorset Amateur Rowing Association and the Coastal Amateur Rowing Association (CARA). That means we compete in regattas as far west as Swanage and as far east as Dover, and every summer, we welcome clubs from both associations at our annual Southsea Regatta. Weβre also a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC).
Racing Season
Racing begins with head races β 5K time trials β early in the year, providing a good opportunity for crews to see how they perform against other clubs whilst continuing to train for the upcoming regatta season! From May to September, rowers compete at regattas on 2K courses. There are also opportunities to enter head races in the autumn, as well as indoor ergo competitions in the winter.
Socials
Southsea Rowing Club is a great place to meet new people. We regularly host social events, including a weekly food night, games sessions and much more. Weβve got a private bar and a building which offers fabulous views of the sea via the windows and exclusive balcony.
